The Situation —

Spirits entrepreneur Pete Nevenglosky came to Americano looking for a long-term creative partner to build a craft liquor brand specifically for American markets. Thus, Svöl Aquavit was born.

Svöl Aquavit is a modern Scandinavian liquor with Brooklyn roots that pays homage to the spirit of Viking exploration and aquavit’s centuries of history, while also drawing from modern distillation advancements.

The Solution —

Americano crafted the entire visual identity—including packaging and creative direction for Svöl Aquavit. Noting that Vikings often navigated their endeavors using their five senses, touch was incorporated into the label through embossing and foil stamping.

Within the first few weeks of launching, Svöl was a wild success. The strong brand story paired with the Michelin-star quality flavor led to Svöl being featured in The New York Times with high reviews.

Svöl also surpassed its annual revenue goal in the first 6 months of launching. Skål!
